Our Ministries

  • Our Men’s Ministry is not driven by programs or scripts. It’s driven by our men. A cup of coffee, an open Bible, and men engaged in uplifting conversation around a table. Men’s ministry: simple yet profound.

    You can join the men for Men’s Bible Study Sunday mornings at 9:30AM.

    Get started in the men’s ministry at Grace Baptist by joining us for our Men’s Fellowships. At these events, men from our church gather together to enjoy a hearty meal, warm fellowship with one another, and a timely message from the Bible.

    The friendships formed during these times help men take the initiative to minister to one another by organizing Bible studies and occasional outings or trips to encourage and mentor one another.

  • Growing together in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and bringing Him glory (2 Peter 3:18)–that is the goal of our ladies ministries.

    You can join the Women for Bible Study each Sunday at 9:30AM.

    You can also get your feet wet in the Women’s ministry at Grace Baptist by joining in on one of our Ladies Brunches. There is plenty of food, love, and prayer for everyone.

    Currently the ladies also have a prayer partner program. Every week they are paired up with someone different from the church and they pray together.

  • Sunday School

    We offer Sunday School during our service which allows the children to be taught the stories of the bible in an engaging way, and at a level they can understand.

    GROUP 1: AGES 5-8 / GROUP 2: AGES 9-12

    Nursery

    We have nursery care for any children under the age of 5 where they can be entertained in a fun and safe environment so their parents can focus on the Sunday Morning Sermon.

  • The Grace Baptist Church Praise Team is committed to providing a God honoring and pleasing musical experience during Sunday service, specifically intended to prepare the congregation for the Sunday sermon. The repertoire consists of contemporary and classic Christian music, and refreshing arrangements of traditional hymns, interspersed with related scriptural references. Song lyrics and scripture are displayed to encourage the congregation to “make a joyful noise unto the Lord” every Sunday!

Our History

In the mid 1900s, as public transportation became more accessible, people began to migrate from New York City to the communities of New Jersey. Housing developments sprang up to meet the growing need. During that time, a small group of Christians who lived in the township of Ramsey saw the need for a Bible-preaching church that could minister the gospel to the town’s growing population.

In 1957, Grace Baptist Church was formed and began holding services in rented facilities within the township. The church grew rapidly, and within a few short years the church purchased land on North Central Avenue in 1961 and a church building was constructed.

For more than 50 years Grace Baptist Church has not wavered from it’s original mission to minister the gospel to the people of Ramsey and the surrounding communities.
